My Story
With a foundation in early childhood education spanning over five years, I have developed a comprehensive skill set in classroom management, family communication, and staff development. Beginning as an intern at Forest Vista Elementary and progressing through roles at Castle Montessori and Primrose School, I have consistently taken on greater responsibility—from supporting classroom logistics to now serving as a Lead Toddlers Teacher, where I coordinate daily operations, train incoming staff, and act as the primary point of contact for families. My academic background in Psychology from Southern Methodist University, paired with international experience through a study abroad program in Copenhagen and a teaching placement in Ghana, has given me a well-rounded perspective on child development and education across diverse cultural contexts.
Beyond core teaching responsibilities, I have consistently sought opportunities to strengthen the broader school community. I've used creative projects, such as designing monthly bulletin boards that highlight unit themes and showcase student artwork, to make visual learning a natural part of the classroom experience, and I've supported other teachers in enhancing their own displays. Community building has always been a priority of mine; through initiatives like organizing a book drive, supporting a student-led art sale benefiting a children's charity, and coordinating spirit week activities, I've engaged with parents, vendors, and school leadership to help foster a positive, connected school culture.
Looking ahead, I'm eager to bring this combination of hands-on classroom leadership, staff training, and community engagement experience into a corporate support role within the Primrose Schools network. My experience training new staff, maintaining organized records and documentation, and serving as a liaison between families and leadership has prepared me well for a role focused on supporting franchise operations. I'm motivated by the opportunity to apply what I've learned at the classroom level to help strengthen consistency, communication, and culture across multiple school locations.
